Well, it ain’t.

Last week King County Elections released it’s precinct-level voting data from the November 2024 general election. Precincts are essentially a grouping of registered voters in a radius of a few blocks. If you attended the 2004 (Kerry/Dean/Kucinich), the 2008 (Obama/Hillary), or the 2016 (Hillary/Bernie) Democratic Presidential Caucus, the group you were divided into was your precinct. These are essentially your immediate neighbors. And in Wallingford, your neighbors mostly vote for Democrats.

Nickelsville is the name given to a network of homeless villages across the city of Seattle. Its name is taken from that of Greg Nickels, who was Seattle mayor from 2002 to 2009. Nickels initiated sweeps of homeless encampments in Seattle, and in 2008, the first of the so-called tiny home villages “commemorated” the activity by bestowing the community with his name. Over 45 years ago, Bill and Ann Evans opened their family owned and managed retail store dedicated to the sale of products made in and inspired by the Pacific Northwest. Over time, they searched far and wide across the states of Washington, Oregon and Idaho in the United States and the province of British Columbia in Canada to build relationships with local artists and manufacturers.
