Apparently, not everyone books a staid eggs benedict brunch with Mom at Ray’s or Salty’s or the other usual and accustomed Seattle locations for Mother’s Day.  Or—credit the Octopus Bar for a little creativity to get the old girl out for something she might really WANT to do this time, god forbid.  We received this heads-up from the Octopus about their plans for the day, and it would be something of a travesty to not give it some airplay on our heavily trafficked site

Come see Lincoln High School’s first musical, the Addams Family!

They’re creepy and their kooky, mysterious and spooky- the Addams Family is being performed on May 5th, 6th, and 7th at Ballard High School! This is Lincoln’s first musical since its reopening, and the cast, pit orchestra, and crew are thrilled to be performing after COVID delays. Shows are at 7 pm as well as 2 pm on Saturday. 

We would love for the Wallingford community to come and support the new beginning of our theatre department.

This weekend, the sun was shining and Wallyhood was out to welcome back Seattle Pops, after its winter slumber.  This neighborhood popsicle shop had a lengthy closure during the pandemic, but opened back up last summer, then closed for the cold winter months, and has now emerged once more!
