Lesli noticed that there are 12 trees marked for removal / destruction along the Burke Gilman where Pacific turns into 34th, across from Gas Works. The signs said that the trees are unhealthy, but she thought they looked alright, so she contacted the Seattle City Arborist, Lou Stubecki.

We had a break in at our gym this morning (September 8, 2014) around 4:15am. Our surveillance video shows a man dressed in gym clothes, but not a member, jimmy the lock to our door then proceed to enter the facility. He stopped in the entry either listening for an audible alarm or seeing if there was anyone here. He rummaged through our papers/front desk area without getting into any of our locked cabinets (luckily), but stole some clothing items from our storage. Thinking of having a garage sale? We are, this coming weekend (Sept 13 and 14th), and you should, too.

Ours should be epic, full of years of Burning Man costumes, lights, furniture, rafts, tools, mens clothes, women’s clothes, books, camping gear, appliances, and pretty much everything you ever wanted to find at a garage sale except a broken exercycle.

I figure that garage sales do better in clumps, since once you get people in the neighborhood, they tend to float to nearby sales, as well, so I’m encouraging anyone nearby to have one this coming weekend, too!
