Too late for for this weekend’s sunny Sunday, Seattle’s wading pools, including Wallingford Park’s, open this coming Wednesday, June 29th. It’s a three-day-a-week pool (Wednesday through Friday) noon – 7 pm.

But, Seattle being Seattle (and not, say, Phoenix), it doesn’t always make sense to fill the pools:

We will plan to open the wading pools on sunny days when the temperature is forecast to be 70 degrees or higher. On most days we will fill them half full, which is a 50% water savings…..but on the busiest days they will be filled to the top!
