There’s a line stretching down the block at the Poke Stop at Sunnyside and 45th at the moment for a Philippino ice cream pop-up shop, today only until supplies run out.

The ice cream is a passion project for Donald Gacilo, and features unusual flavors as ube (purple yam) and matcha (green tea) served in fish cones.

Tableau Software, the analytics software juggernaut based in Fremont, has earmarked $85,000 in grant money for non-profits based in the Wallingford / Fremont area, with few restrictions, and the application period is open.

Their granting guidelines web page states simply:

Seattle Night Out, the city-wide block party, is scheduled for Tuesday, August 1 this year: streets all over Wallingford (and beyond!) will be blocked off and turned into sprawling cook-outs, parks and playgrounds.

So, maybe in years past, your street has put together a potluck, enjoyed each other’s company and had a decent time. Kids were rolling back and forth in their Big Wheels, throwing marshmallows and generally getting heady drunk on staying out late.

Turns out anyone can add locations to Apple Maps’ database–just visit mapsconnect.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID and follow the instructions to “add a place.”

Best as I can tell, the City of Seattle hasn’t designated it with an official name (it’s just referred to as an “open space” east of transfer station facility), so Dump Park sounds good to me.
