I stopped in Wine World & Spirits in its new location over on Fremont Ave last week, hoping to pick up an interesting spirit, QFC and Trader Joe’s selection being exactly what you’d expect from a grocery store. Friends and neighbors of Lita Byrnes, who was found dead in her home on Interlake just off Stone Way on Monday, are holding a candelight vigil tonight, Wednesday, starting at 7 pm the intersection of N 43rd Ave and Interlake Ave.

Linda, who is organizing the vigil, said she would bring candles for all.

The police are investigating her death as a homicide, but we don’t have any additional information. She was much loved and had put herself out tirelessly to help her friends and the community at large.…
