Virtual Community Meeting — Project Update

You are invited to join Seattle Public Schools for a virtual community meeting about the Lincoln High School Phase 2 Modernization project. The project team will present updated information about the project and upcoming Phase 2A construction work. They will share the final design and the project schedule, and answer questions.

Don’t worry about making dinner on Friday, June 18! Celebrate the end of the school year with a final Friday Fundraiser with Pecado Bueno – this time it’s BBQ dinner!

Just as with the previous Mexican and Hawaiian dinners, 30% of proceeds benefit Wallingford’s St. Benedict School.

Choose from chicken, pork or tofu and add fun dessert or drink. Submit your order by Wednesday, June 16th and plan to pick up at the school from 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 18.

Time to shake off the rust and bring back the live music!

Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 26th when local bands will be playing porches around Wallingford. We love seeing people support Wallingford business. This past week, it was District 4 Councilmember Alex Pedersen who took a stroll through 45th street, stopping at Murphy’s and The Octopus Bar. He highlighted it in his newsletter and encouraged neighbors beyond the ‘hood to swing by our main drag. Thanks for the good word, Alex.

Some of you may have seen the window of Fainting Goat Gelato on 45th Street was broken by a rock last weekend. Fortunately, they are all patched back up, but they could use our support. I exchange messages with owner Yalcin Ataman and he expressed how the pandemic has impacted their business, making it harder to stay open.
