They have been holding this event combining singing, dancing, poetry recitation, and a toast to the trees for 15 years! As I walked down 45th street today, I marveled at how not one piece of candy remained from the community parade two weeks ago. During the Wallingford Kiddie Parade, I was perched on the curb just next to the judges stand, but I didn’t stick around long enough to see who took home the coveted trophies.
