Wallingford welcomes a new neighbor: IRG Physical & Hand Therapy has opened a new clinic in Wallingford and is now accepting new patients.

Located in the Wallingford Center, this is the 35^th new clinic for IRG Physical & Hand Therapy, with four clinics now residing in the Seattle area.

We heard from Amber Ackerson, Communications and Events Specialist: IRG Physical & Hand Therapy places high value in community involvement for each of our clinic neighborhoods, frequently offering wellness and education opportunities to each clinic’s surrounding community.

We published a story earlier in the week about a hot dog lunch benefiting the Wallingford Senior Center. I am sad to report this is another gathering postponed due to the recent surge in COVID cases brought on by the Delta variant. When folks are ready to get back out there and eat a hot dog in support of the Senior Center, we will be back with an update! The Center remains open for other activities!

National Night Out started formally 38 years ago, sparked from an effort in the western suburbs of Philadelphia to bring neighbors and police forces together for increased safety. The first National Night Out involved 2.5 million neighbors across 400 communities in 23 states.  Now a national community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships, it reaches 38 million neighbors in 16,000 communities!

Wallingford Seattle is one of these lively communities and on the first Tuesday evening in August, you can see neighbors gathered in blocked-off streets and front yards, sharing information and, in pre-pandemic times, even potluck dinners.
