Seattle City Light is inviting customers to join its newly-launched Community Energy Forum. The Forum is a monthly online survey developed to gather input on a variety of energy issues, primarily green energy and conservation. The input they receive will help them to plan and create future programs. If you’ve got 5 minutes once a month to spare, help ’em out. The first survey emailed out to Forum members will cover renewable energy.

Girl Scouts of America is celebrating its centennial anniversary and former Girl Scout Molly Moon Neitzel is honoring the occasion with free kid-sized scoops of Scout Mint ice cream all day long at Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream shop (1622 N. 45th St.) on Monday, March 12.

Need to satisfy that annual Girl Scout Cookie craving? Beginning at 3:00pm, local Girl Scouts will be selling Girl Scout Cookies outside of Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream shop. Reader Doug pointed us to the Washington State Liquor Control Board’s online auction of its stores, which kicked-off on Thursday and runs through April 20. The Wallingford location (LCB Store #113) currently has four bids, with the highest offer, so far, standing at $2,025.00 — a steal considering the current inventory alone is valued at $154k.

Zumba for JSIS Teachers

Tomorrow, (Saturday March 10), at 3:00pm, head on over to the John Stanford International School gym (4057 5th Avenue NE) for a free 90 minute Zumba Community Dance Party to benefit the school’s professional development program. Instructors from Wallingford’s Fresh Fitness and Dance will teach the basics of Zumba, a fun, latin-inspired dance-fitness class.

While the event is free, JSIS is asking for donations of any size toward its professional development program for teachers.
