Bunny Bounce at Woodland Park Zoo

Woodland Park Zoo is holding its annual Bunny Bounce this Saturday, April 7, from 9:30am – 2:00pm, complete with egg hunts, bunny sightings, and lots of fun activities for kids from ages 1-8. Bring your own bag or basket for the egg hunts on the North Meadow.

Guests can also watch as Woodland Park Zoo’s animal residents are treated to Easter-themed baskets full of greens, flowers, berries, and other goodies. The 2012 Wallingford Walks season kicks-off on Saturday, April 14. Each month the walks feature different themes that offer a glimpse on some of the cool things happening around the neighborhood, beginning with Sustainable Landscaping. Here’s the scoop:

Bubbles, face painting, treat-filled plastic eggs, and of course that lovable long-eared galoot, the Easter Bunny. Once again, it’s time for the annual Easter Celebration and Food Drive at Wallingford Center (1815 N. 45th St.), happening this Saturday, April 7. The festivities kick-off at 9:00am on the West Plaza:

Seattle Restaurant Week happens April 8-12 and again on April 15-19, when restaurants will offer three-course dinners for $28, and some will even offer $15 for a three-course lunch. We Wallingfordians sure do love our library branch, no? If not for its size, then certainly for its convenience. Of course, since the last five rounds of library budget cuts, that convenience has waned a bit, and we often hear a collective groan during the annual week-long closure; but now, The City Council is holding a public hearing on a proposed Library levy that would provide funding for more library hours, an increase in staff, better collections, and improved technology.
