Tomorrow evening (Thursday, 8/16) Cantinetta (3650 Wallingford Avenue North) will be hosting an outdoor screening of Big Night. Stanley Tucci and Tony Shalhoub star as brothers (Primo and Secondo) who own a failing Italian restaurant, and make a go of one special night featuring culinary delights and a big-time jazz musician to perform. You may remember back in the beginning of August, we mentioned a mural that Chamber of Commerce President Colleen Kurke was having painted on her salon, Cutz Salon and Gallery on Meridian (see our post, “Mural, Mural on the wall”). SDOT Crews to Seal Cracks on 3 Wallingford Streets

Yesterday, Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) crews began the task of sealing cracks in arterial asphalt streets throughout Seattle, three of which are here in Wallingford (listed below). According to SDOT:

This process will reduce the amount of water that seeps under the pavement during the year causing potholes and other roadway damage.

The crews plan to start in the northern part of the city and work towards the south, although the schedule and order may change depending on the weather and other unforeseen factors.

No street closures will be required, but there will be lane closures of up to …
