The Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS) group at the Good Shepherd Center now has a fall schedule for “Little Peppers” (families with two children under the age of three). Here are all the details:

Little Peppers is a group for families with two children under age three (at the time the group begins). Meetings are led by a professional facilitator. Babies and toddlers remain in the room with their parents for the entire meeting – which makes for a busy and exciting morning! Groups meet once a week for 11 weeks. evo Coming to Fremont Collective

Action sports gear and fashion apparel retailer, evo, will move from its current location in Fremont to the new Fremont Collective building on the corner of N. 35th Ave. at Stone Way N. this fall. The move will give the retailer 50% more space, including enough room for an art gallery integrated directly into the store, an area to host large events, and a 3,500 sq. ft mezzanine that will house evo’s selection of ski and snowboarding equipment.

This Friday (August 31), the good folks over at Fresh Fitness & Dance Studio (4430 Corliss Ave. N. behind Kabul Restaurant on 45th) are offering a free sampling for an upcoming Beginning Belly Dance Class that starts in October. Here are the deets:

Get Your Shimmy Going and help out Mary’s Place. A non-profit that benefits homeless Women & Children.

Join the FUN, come and bring a can of food, or used clothing and learn some basic Belly Dance moves and a short routine. NO experience needed, or hone your dusty moves.

I’m writing to let folks know that my car went missing sometime between Thursday, Aug. 23 – Sunday, Aug. 26. I was backpacking so I don’t know when it was stolen. Woodland Park Zoo’s annual neighborhood appreciation “mix and mingle” will be held this year at the Zoo’s West Plaza (Jaguars and Penguins) on Wednesday evening, September 19, from 6:30-8:30pm. Admission and parking during the event is free. Enter the Zoo on the West Entrance off of Phinney Avenue North, between 55th and 56th streets.

Seattle Public Library is closed next week

This is your friendly neighborhood reminder that all of the branches of the Seattle Public Library will be closed from Monday, August 27 through Monday, September 3. The book drop at the Wallingford branch closes at 5:00pm on Saturday (8/25) and reopens at 9:30am on Tuesday (9/4).

During the weeklong closure, patrons will be able to access the Library’s online catalog, but won’t be able to place holds on items. For more information about the closure, visit the Seattle Public Library’s website.…

You won’t want to miss the Wallingford Farmers Market next Wednesday, August 29 at Meridian Park when the Easy Street Band plays, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
