Update, 8:12pm: Good news! “Dude” has been reunited with his “Dad”!

Meredith posted on our Facebook page last night that she found a young Pitbull in between her fence and her garage. She’s taken him to a Vet up in Lake City. The vet says the Pitbull is likely 9-10 mos. old and may be a stray, though his nails are clipped short, which likely means he has a human out there somewhere. The vet will hold him one more say and then he’s off to the Humane Society tomorrow.

“Celebrate One Wallingford” This Thursday

Last week, we told you to save the date for “Celebrate One Wallingford” – a party to celebrate our community together, but it bears repeating because of all the cool activities that are planned for the event. Susan Lowney wrote to tell us that workers were forced to cut down a dying old tree at 49th and Densmore this week.

“It’s been my neighbor since I moved here in 1977,” she writes, adding, “I understand that the remaining stump will be harvested for making furniture.  A fitting end for a dying tree.”

Kerf International Gallery is opening a new show in the Wallingford Center.
