WCC/SPU Transfer Station Contract
Last Thursday, March 29th, Seattle Public Utilities and the Wallingford Community Council presented their agreement regarding the rebuilding of the North Transfer Station, along with supporting amendments to the land use code, to the City Council’s Planning, Land Use and Sustainability committee chaired by Councilmember Conlin. SPU presented a short visual summary of the benefits of the agreement to both the City and the community. WCC and SPU Agree on Terms for Transfer Station Rebuild
The Wallingford Community Council (WCC) and Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) have been negotiating for more than eight months on the terms of a contract concerning the rebuilding of the North Transfer Station. The WCC transfer station working group will present the terms of the contract and its recommendations for approval at the regular WCC meeting on Wednesday. New Wallingford Park and Maritime Facility
The Wallingford Community Council will review two new recreational additions to Wallingford at the WCC’s meeting on Wednesday, January 4th.
The first involves a park-open space development in conjunction with the rebuilding North Transfer Station. Members of the Community Council have been negotiating for months with Seattle Public Utilities regarding contract details for the rebuild of the transfer station.
