I have known they’ve been in the neighborhood for many years, but, like I suspect many other of their potential customers, had no idea what this local nursery had to offer. Only 18% of Medicaid users over age 21 in King County had a dental check-up in 2022. (Source: Arcora Foundation). Unmet dental health needs can lead to pain, reduced self-esteem, and risk of potentially life-threatening health conditions. Though the need is high, access to dental health remains out of reach for many in our community.

Hope everyone in Wallingford is enjoying the beautiful winter weather, during my walks around the neighborhood, I recently saw my first flock of robins which got me looking forward to spring and summer!

Of course, with summer comes the annual Seafair event- the Wallingford Parade.  The parade organizers have already been hard at work organizing the details.  This year the theme is: “Wild in Wallingford” with the parade date set for Saturday July 12th and we will be celebrating 40 years of Ron Petty’s best loved sculpture: Animal Storm.
