The Wallingford Kiddie Parade, a neighborhood tradition for over 75 years, takes place this Saturday! Enjoy floats, marching bands and more while supporting your neighborhood. This year’s parade, organized by Celebrate Wallingford, is themed “Halloween in July.”

Wallingford seems to be filled with cats: cats gazing out at you from windows; cats coming to meet you on the sidewalk; cats crouched under cars and bushes looking cautiously at you as you pass by. If you’ve got a radio, and even if you don’t, you’ll want to tune to SPACE 101.1 FM this Wednesday, June 28 at 5pm when The Wallingford Local will feature editors from your favorite blog. The Wallingford Kiddie Parade, a neighborhood tradition for over 75 years, is less than a month away. Organized by Celebrate Wallingford, the parade has been urgently seeking help which we posted about in November and February. Opportunities are still available to lend a hand, and if you plan to participate as a marcher or in other events surrounding the parade, now is the time to register: Parade Registration is OPEN! Solstice Parade 2023

The Fremont Solstice Parade which, more than anything else around here, marks the start of summer, takes place this Saturday. The parade is just one of the events comprising the Fremont Fair, produced as usual by the Fremont Arts Council, which will keep you entertained all weekend.
