Join your neighbors for an Earth Day Clean Up on Saturday, April 19th. Starting at 10 am, volunteers will gather at the southeast corner of N 45th Street and Wallingford Avenue N (across from QFC near Cascadia Pharmacy). Supplies, such as trash grabbers, gloves, trash bags, and safety vests will be available to help you safely beautify our neighborhood. The bi-annual clean up event is sponsored by the Wallingford Community Council, Historic Wallingford, and the City of Seattle’s Adopt-a-Street program. This is a family-friendly event, and kids are welcome. The organizers, Will and Mike will be able to plan for your participation if you send an RSVP to Will Vagel via Facebook messenger, or send an email to [email protected].
More information about Wallingford events will be available at the registration area, including details about Historic Wallingford, July’s upcoming parade, and more! The city’s Adopt-a-Street program will have information on how to participate year-round to support ongoing trash removal (including providing each volunteer with their own trash grabber and supplies).
There will even be some Wallyhood writers and editors represented, in case you are interested in writing stories for and about our neighborhood.
