Hope everyone in Wallingford is enjoying the beautiful winter weather, during my walks around the neighborhood, I recently saw my first flock of robins which got me looking forward to spring and summer!
Of course, with summer comes the annual Seafair event- the Wallingford Parade. The parade organizers have already been hard at work organizing the details. This year the theme is: “Wild in Wallingford” with the parade date set for Saturday July 12th and we will be celebrating 40 years of Ron Petty’s best loved sculpture: Animal Storm.

Look for more information on the 2025 parade in the coming weeks/months. However, the parade organizers would like to reflect on and thank last year’s sponsors who greatly contributed to the success of the 2024 parade. Without the sponsors, the parade would not be possible. Each parade sponsor received a personalized plaque thanking them for supporting the parade. As an example, please find enclosed the certificate of thanks to be given to one of our sponsors, Dunn Lumber.
On a nice sunny day in January, members of the parade organizing committee distributed the personalized plaques to the local sponsors.
Shown below with their plaques are Blake and Crystal Garfield of Bedrooms and More ; Willow and Parnell from Cedarhouse Flowers, both of which were sponsors but also walked in the parade!
Also shown is Tiffany Gwin from Harold’s Lighting
Each month I will recognize parade sponsors from last year which will hopefully encourage additional sponsors for this years’ parade. See you in July!
