Taking care and giving back. The power of a generous heart.
As the holidays are fast approaching, if anyone is looking to support a local business and a good cause, I would recommend stopping at the Assistance League store on N 45th.
Assistance League charitable programs rely on hands-on involvement by our volunteers and spring from their generous hearts and minds. Each innovative program is designed to meet specific needs of individual communities. Assistance League member volunteers have achieved true transformation in their communities and have helped make a better world possible.
From Nancy Hanson, it was just awarded the Best in Western Washington Award for Best Thrifting sponsored by King5 as voted by people of Western Washington.
Strengthening Communities Nationwide
Assistance League member volunteers offer a number of vital programs that help strengthen communities. These programs vary across our 120 chapters based on the needs identified in each community. While the majority of the programs focus on children and providing services such as school clothing, shoes, personal care items, school supplies and, in some chapters, dental services, Assistance League chapters offer programs and services that touch every age group.
