Join a supportive group to take steps toward putting together YOUR Personal Safety Net. This 4-week workshop with Denise Malm, Social Worker will help you prepare for that inevitable time in the future when you need support. Don’t wait until after you need it! By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a personal binder with your documentation, resources, preferences, and support system all in one place, as well as a plan of action for future steps. The workshop is limited to 12 participants; we will collect a waitlist for a future workshop. $40 for members, $60 for non-members RSVPs required.

Folk Dancing

Learn a new folk dance from the first graders of the Meridian School! The students will be learning new dances each month and then become our teachers on first Tuesdays. Cinema Termite presents: Fantastic Voyage

The brilliant scientist Jan Benes (Jean Del Val) develops a way to shrink humans, and other objects, for brief periods of time. Benes, who is working in communist Russia, is transported by the CIA to America, but is attacked en route. In order to save the scientist, who has developed a blood clot in his brain, a team of Americans in a nuclear submarine is shrunk and injected into Benes’ body. They have a finite period of time to fix the clot and get out before the miniaturization wears off. Free

The reading materials consist of printed and posted articles and essays drawn from a variety of sources, including The Seattle Times, New York Times, Washington Post, New Yorker, and more. Explore important aspects of our society and culture with a focus on politics, science, technology, and other interesting and relevant subjects.
Beginners Digital Literacy Class

Looking to feel more comfortable with technology and grow your computer skills? Come to the Beginner Digital Literacy Program presented by the Prison Scholar Fund and AARP! This program is designed specifically for adults over 50 and aims to enhance digital skills and confidence in navigating the online world. The 90 minute beginner class covers topics such as smartphone use, browser and email use, and online security. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops/devices, however they will bring laptops for participants to use!
