St Benedict’s is one of the oldest North End catholic parishes, dating back to when construction began in 1906. Starting in 1983, as a way of raising money to support the parish school, the festival has become a community event celebrating kids going back to school. New this year, the name has been changed to the Great Wallingford Bratwurst Festival. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy this annual “Wallingford” event.

New Name, Same Great Festival!
SEATTLE – The Great Wallingford Bratwurst Festival, a beloved event that brings together kids and adults for fun and frivolity, returns on September 20-21, 2024. The festival is organized by St. Benedict School to bring together families and the surrounding neighborhoods to enjoy food, games and entertainment while raising money for the school.
This year’s festival features live music from 16 local musical acts and bands, great food and beverages, bouncy houses, a “Fun Zone” filled with games for kids with fun prizes, a variety of crafts and vendors, a sweet shop, and an outdoor beer garden for adults 21 and older.
“In honor of the updated event name, this year’s festival design is a throwback to the original in 1983 when the Bratwurst Festival became a tradition four St. Benedict School,” said Brian Anderson, school principal. “Our school’s families have worked very hard to put on a fun event for all ages and we know that everyone can expect to have a great time.”
The Great Wallingford Bratwurst Festival is held on the grounds of St. Benedict School, located at 4811 Wallingford Ave. N., Seattle, Wash. 98103.
