While we all wait to see what happens with the future of the Murphy’s Pub property, I invite you to try my favorite dish on their menu: the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, $16. It’s everything you might want in a well-rounded pub meal. Fried chicken with just the right amount of buffalo sauce, a healthy smattering of veggies and beans, and just enough cheese to remind you it’s still pub food. Select the fries as a side, a pint of Bodhizafa, and your night is set. Let me also be clear – I have not tried everything on the menu. In fact, I’ve heard the Murphy’s Classic Reuben Sandwich is a thing of legends. I can say it’s a true beauty when it comes to the table on the occasions my tablemates have ordered it… I’ll be trying that next. Do you have a favorite?
Now since I didn’t get an instagram-worthy picture of the pristine dish because I scarfed it down too quickly, I offer you my patented leftover reheat method (and by the way, the Buffalo Chicken Wrap reheats nicely; often one of my criteria when eating out). Preheat cast iron skillet, nuke large items in microwave for 30 seconds, plop contents into hot skillet to brown, flip to brown on other side, devour.
