My friend Lori Brakken will be at Meridian Playground [4649 Sunnyside Ave N, technically] on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 4 – 7 pm, to tell you what kind of fruit you have. Lori is THE expert in apple ID in the greater Seattle area. I’ll be there with Lori to answer your fruit tree care questions.
We’ll have a canopy and table set up in the park on the north side of the hedge, separate from the Wallingford Farmers Market.
If you want your fruit identified, it’s best to bring samples of the actual fruit.
Instructions:
- 3-5 apples, with stems intact. Include some leaves if possible. Don’t wipe or wash the fruit in any way.
- Bring in a paper bag.
- Write on the bag this info:
- Date fruit was picked
- Estimated age of tree
If you don’t have the fruit, bring photos showing closeups of the fruit as well as of the entire tree.
In case you forgot, this Wednesday is also the last Wallingford Farmers Market of 2019, so double reason to head on over.

Probably should refrain from using the term ‘apple ID’, as that is an actual Apple thing.
Which in this context no reasonable reader would confuse it with.
