If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, our neighborhood has a plethora of Easter and springtime events going on. Wallyhood contributor Anne sent us this note:
What is your favorite part of Easter?
Popping florescent yellow and pink peeps in your belly?
Ham?
Mimosas before noon?
Leaving carrots out for the bunnies infiltrating our neighborhood!?!
Saying goodbye to your Lenten promises while eating chocolate cake or chugging an extra large pint?
Random fact: the date of Easter changes every year because it is always the first Sunday, after the first full moon, after the vernal equinox. Wow. Who thought that up?
Bubble Man? Where was he this year?
There are many ways to embrace the Easter spirit in Wallingford!
Our family enjoys the fruits of a magical hare depositing bright plastic eggs in the yard filled with sugar for the kids to discover at the crack of dawn, and then we giddy up to mass at St. Benedict’s on Wallingford Ave at
10AM. It is a beautiful celebration, and all are welcome. Hope you can join us! There are additional Easter masses at8AM and5PM . Come on down!
There’s also an Easter sunrise service at 7:00 a.m. at Gas Works Park held by Wallingford United Methodist Church.
