The process for upgrading the Wallingford Playfield is in full swing. Jordan wrote about it earlier and provided much of the necessary context. The executive summary: the city has $400,000 to upgrade the playfield equipment and they want community input.
First, there is a survey. If you have not completed the survey, it is still live.
Then there is an open house to further gather input and answer questions. The open house is at the Wallingford Boys and Girls Club (4219 Wallingford Ave N) on Tuesday, July 10th from 6pm – 7:30pm.
The playfield is frequently crowded whenever I visit with my daughters, and the playfield has a great story behind its creation. While not as contentious as dogs at Wallingford park, the playfield quietly contributes to the park and our community. Spend a few minutes on the survey and the open house to give direction to its future.
