Reminder: Just Days Away
Join Historic Wallingford for An Evening With Paul Dorpat–Seattle Author, Historian, and Seattle Times Columnist
at Seattle First Church of the Nazarene
4401 2nd Ave NE, Seattle 98105
Friday, May 18th, 7 p.m.
Join us and our very own Wallingford legend Paul Dorpat for a lively evening reminiscing over old photographs of the neighborhood and its characters. Paul is the author of many richly illustrated books including Seattle, Now & Then; Seattle Waterfront: An Illustrated History; and Washington, Then & Now; and has been writing the “Now & Then” column for Pacific NW Magazine for more than three decades. He is one of three founders of HistoryLink.org, and in 2001 received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Pacific Northwest Historians’ Guild. Read his blog pauldorpat.com.
Paul has asked that Historic Wallingford post dozens of images and animations from his collection that he plans to discuss for a collaborative presentation. He invites us all to participate in captioning these photos for the event. Visit our website to learn more at www.historicwallingford.org (click on the events tab). Be sure to visit the site frequently as new photographs and commentary are being added. Paul truly wants this to be an event we can all participate in and enjoy!
Admission is free to Historic Wallingford members and $5.00 for non-members
RSVP today to assure seating. To join Historic Wallingford or learn more, go to www.historicwallingford.org.
Paul’s talk begins at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
