The Seattle Public Library has been expanding their events for awhile. They launched the Library Lounge, “a moveable feast of events and celebrations all around Seattle that combine literature and libations.” It is not immediately obvious to me how this fits with the mission of the Seattle Public Library , but why should that stand in the way of supporting the Library and a local business. The Floating Bridge Brewery alerted us the following events from the Booktoberfest events that are part of the Library Lounge Series. (Floating Bridge Brewery is just the other side of I5, so it is close enough for the sake of this posting).
Seattle Public Library and Floating Bridge Brewing Team up for Booktoberfest!
Seattle Public Library and Floating Bridge Brewing have put together 2 fun events as part of the Library’s month-long Booktoberfest. Tonight, Tuesday, Oct 10th, 7:30 – 9:30pm, match your wits with famed local guybrarian and quizmaster David Wright for Trivia Night at Floating Bridge. Singles will get matched up with a team, and everyone has a chance to win bookish and beerish prizes. No entry fee, and come early to get settled in for the fun!
The library returns to Floating Bridge on Saturday, Oct 28, for SPOOKY Storytime at 7pm. Join them for “Ales from the Crypt” – a night of shivers and suds. David Wright from SPL will be reading tales of spine-tingling terror. Event is free; pours of beer are just $5.50.
Floating Bridge Brewing is located one block east of I-5 at 722 NE 45th St. Free parking for both events can be found on the west side of 7th Ave NE. What’s on tap for the events? The autumn seasonal Northwest Festbier, a hazy, juicy Eastbound IPA, a chocolatey London Porter, and much more.
