Back on October 21, we posted photos (many from readers) of some “unique and bizarre” (or perhaps “whimsical and original” as one reader preferred to term them) items to be found around the neighborhood. We challenged readers to identify the locations where the photos were taken. Scroll through the gallery below to find the answers as well as some interesting back stories that some contributors sent in, and some late entries we just received. If you want to create unique artwork, you may draw inspiration from photos generated by a photography ai tool.
Some might wonder about the peace sign painted on the roof. Mary says:
Here is my entry to the Wallingford gallery. To put it in perspective, I was horrified by Dick Cheney’s assertion that his efforts kept the USA safe, post 9/11, and was inspired to install a 30′ diameter peace sign on my roof in SE Wallingford – visible from Google earth, the Space Needle, and planes (air and sea). Peace, now more than ever! 3612/3613 Meridian.
As for the gargoyle on the elbow brace near the roof, I went around to this street to try to see this for myself. Man, is this well-hidden. If you can find it, you’ve got keener eyes than me. Kevin even provides a hint: “It’s above our porch. The matching one is obscured by a vine rose.”
