In case you didn’t get your fix of fireworks, food, and festivities on The Fourth, Wallingford is lucky enough to get a second chance to celebrate Independence Day—but this time, Mexican-style! Saturday, September 16, is Mexican Independence Day, and our new neighbors at Cubes Baking Co. want to celebrate with you!
Cubes will be celebrating in their retail location in Wallingford (2315 N. 45th Street), 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with special treats that celebrate their Mexican heritage. They also have partnered with The Tamale Guy, who will be selling his delicious authentic tamales (vegan and gluten-free options available!), and with local craft and jewelry artisan Amano Seattle, who will have her array of gorgeous hand-made Latinx- and Mexican-inspired pieces available for purchase.
From the owners: “We are excited to have this day be our first official event as a business. We want people to come celebrate this special day with us with great food and even greater company.”

Really, really delicious cake! Four hooves up!
