Tableau Software, the analytics software juggernaut based in Fremont, has earmarked $85,000 in grant money for non-profits based in the Wallingford / Fremont area, with few restrictions, and the application period is open.
Their granting guidelines web page states simply:
The Tableau Foundation Community Grants program does not have strict funding parameters. Our priorities are determined by the communities, and the organizations that serve the communities we work in.
Grant requests can be as small as a few hundred dollars or as large as $20,000. We encourage you to think big — and small! The more detail you provide about your budget will help us determine how much we can fully or partially fund requests.
A well-rounded portfolio of grants is important to us. We will consider grant applications across focus areas and will not prioritize any one area over another. (For example: grants for public art installations, work with homeless populations, and educational projects will all be considered equally.)
We anticipate making anywhere from 5-15 grants per office, depending on the amounts requested.
