In light of the fact that the original account of the incident referenced here has been removed from Facebook, I am removing it from here, as well. I am providing a quick summary of the facts for those you joining us late:
On Thursday, a Wallingford mother posted an account on Facebook describing an incident in which an employee of a local electrical / solar installation firm yelled racist slurs at her African-American son and subsequently got in a physical altercation with the young man in Wallingford. According to the account, the employee struck the young man in the face, and the young man responded by breaking the window on the van.
The police were called, and the friends who were with the young man left the scene prior to their arrival. The man has denied making racist statements.
The firm has expressed its intolerance of racism, has suspended the employee and is cooperating with the police. They have also posted a full response in the comments section of this article.
Before the firm was given a chance to respond (and before anything was posted here on Wallyhood), a number of “one star” reviews of the firm were posted to Yelp. A quick check of Yelp indicates that all of these have been removed as of this writing.
At this point, we have no reason to doubt the account given by the young man, but it is uncorroborated and has been denied by the employee of the firm.
Update: The Seattle Times has provided a more detailed summary of the story as it unfurls.
Fire him. Yesterday.
y tho
Yeah! Get out the pitchforks on a minimal and incomplete amount of information!
It appears there is indeed more to the story, and if my original comment was wrong, I deeply regret taking the story at face value. I guess with all the stories of trump supporters assaulting and harassing people who look or think differently from them, I might have made the mistake of assuming the worst about this guy.
Wow. I know Gordon. Very well. And his wife and three kids. He walks the talk. So I know that Artisan has some great employees and will give them the benefit of the doubt for now. But if this dude in their van did drop some N-bombs and taunt these kids, then fire his ass.
Gordon isn’t even the employee who did it
Yeah. I know. You missed my point.
These kids aren’t “thugs”. They’re kids. The usage of the term “thug” is very racially loaded and seeks to dehumanize them and incite more unnecessary fear. Please check your language.
What do you mean?
Doesn’t speak much of a person, this Gordon, who will turn tail and run at the first sign of trouble. Wouldn’t want him to be my battle buddy or commander in a war zone with loyalty like that. What was that ol’ due process, innocent until proven guilty schtick? They still have that over in F.A.
Please don’t use that kind of language.
Go find your safe space Killary supporter.
This is very unfortunate, and horrifying that someone would act in such a manner. However, I know this company, have worked with them, and have several friends that work there that I have known for many years, and this incident is in no way representative of them or their company. The unfortunate part about being a union shop, is that they do not have the ability to immediately terminate someone (which is only one of many reasons I am against unions). This vile individual is probably some random union worker that was assigned to their company for a job, and is not even a regular employee. It is very upsetting to see that people are using 1-star ratings to destroy a business that they have never dealt with, instead of making complaints via email, phone, in-person. This is not a mature or valid way to handle the situation as a consumer, and goes to show how the ‘mob mentality’ works. While I will never tolerate this kind of hate that the worker has shown, I will never lower myself to trying to destroy a business with a low rating as a means to lash back at them before I even have the full story and resolution.
Frankly you sound like one of the Russian trolls we all know invade comment sections exactly like this one. (You comment is written like a high school book report, was what made me think this)
LOL
Frankly, you sound like an asshat who’s dick is small because you took 3/4 of it and shoved it into your personality. For the record, I’m German and French Canadian, and was born in Seattle. But I’ll take your hateful comments into consideration and share them with my neighbors. Maybe they can give me pro tips on how to not sound Russian.
LOL
“how dare you challenge ME, a CAUCASIAN WOMAN [on the internet]?!”
Who said I was a woman? Did my name “make you think that?” But go ahead with your childish and bigoted behavior, I’m sure the neighborhood is enjoying it. It’s obvious that you don’t care for Russians, and I’m guessing by this and other threads that you’ve posted on, you have issues with women. Thank you for showing your true self, I’ll be sure to avoid you in the future. Toxic people have no place in my journey.
Goldilocks, if you go to his Facebook page, it explains a lot about his misanthropy. Sorry you have to endure this stupidity.
Thank you, although I’m not losing sleep over it. I do believe that this is a great reminder to those who live in the Seattle bubble, that it is not all sunshine and rainbows. There are plenty of hateful people right here in our city, but those of us who choose to live in kindness will prevail. Not without a smarta$$ comment to here and there though… 😉
Goldilocks: “Frankly, you sound like an asshat who’s dick is small because you took 3/4 of it and shoved it into your personality.” Did you really want to post this? This conversation has devolved into a third-grade spit-ball fight.
You’re making judgements based off baseless accusations. If third party witnesses don’t corroborate this story, it probably (definitely in this case) did not happen.
Leak the racist’s name.
“We the People” will take care of the rest…
that’s an awful thing to say considering we don’t even know the whole story
Whole story? The electrician should have never went regardless of what the story may be.
So you think mob justice is the solution even though you don’t know the story? You don’t even know if the guy used any profane language.
Who said anything about mob justice? Why would these kids lie? I’ve heard heard the N-word used arbitrarily more time in Seattle than in anywhere else I’ve lived in this country.
Mob justice courtesy you:
Leak the racist’s name.
“We the People” will take care of the rest…
Classy.
Using the N-word period… classy
> Using the N-word period… classy
Which you have no proof of. But hey, let’s be offended anyway and string the guy up. Right?!
You have no proof that he didn’t. So where is the argument? He was also suspended by his employer for the time being.
> You have no proof that he didn’t. So where is the argument?
The fact that you want mob justice to resolve this without proof. Or was this “just a joke, bro!”
> He was also suspended by his employer for the time being.
Standard practice by employers.
Here’s a “Jump to Conclusions” mat for you http://imgur.com/53axI7K
Um I’ve never advocated for mob justice. Just responding to your denial. I would happily do this myself. No mob needed. Like I said before, white people in seattle think this is ok. Then, they want I play the victim when confronted. I lived there for 8 years and I’ve witnessed this 12 times, at least. 7 of them directly . I’m no thug nor do I act like an nword. Considering how the nword is arbitrarily used, that could just simplybe walking down the street.
“Why would these kids lie?:
Because they were the aggressors in this situation and know if they threw down the race card they could quickly turn the tables and look like the victim. I’ve seen it more times that I can count. It’s a proven technique.
“I’ve heard heard the N-word used arbitrarily more time in Seattle than in anywhere else I’ve lived in this country.”
I’ve lived in Seattle 35 years and I’ve only heard it once by a white person. On the other hand, I’ve seen more abusive behavior and hate speech from blacks then every other race combined. When I’ve heard hate speech between a black and non-black person, out of the 5 dozen or so incidents, only once was it not the black person on the giving end.
See my above comment
Good idea, bring back the lynch mob. You are not “The People”, you are an irrational reactionary.
Ah, union hate while railing against Trump. The cognitive dissonance is strong with this one…
Yep.
Indeed. Is it possible for someone to hold views on separate issues that don’t fit into neat “liberal” vs “conservative” categories? Impossible!
Indeed. Just like many Trump supporters. Impossible!
When I read this original posting I was put off by the negative union comment. It seemed put there to incite some further negativity. It was unncessary to the story but now that I see how all this has unravelled I will not bother reading these inflammatory postings in the future.
I’m curious what exactly this incident has to do with Trump.
Obviously there’s an uptick in hate crimes right now, and many of them the perpetrators admit they are Trump enthusiasts, and that certainly isn’t good, at all, but can you prove any causality here?
Walks like a duck, talks like a duck…
You clearly do not know many ducks, then.
There’s a bigoted supposition.
My first reaction.. why didn’t the Artisan person get any citation for hitting the boy in the face? There was a group of boys who saw this? Why isn’t anyone going after Seattle Police Department and the officer who nswered the call/ I sadly, am in agreement with the yelping to make sure the company is not allowed to shelter this employee. Unions do help keep jobs, but unions can not keep jobs of individuals who casue , create and enact criminal behavior.
The SPD Twitter said he wasn’t charged because there were no corroborating witnesses to his assaulting the boys, and that the other boys ran from the scene without speaking to police. The mother of one of the boys just posted video evidence showing that is a LIE. https://www.facebook.com/slimmgoody2011/videos/pcb.1387007454667353/1386988798002552/?type=3&theater
This message is from We want to provide you with an update about the incident in Wallingford. As of this moment, Artisan Electric has suspended the employee involved in the Wallingford incident. We continue to investigate and we’re talking with the Seattle Police Department, eyewitnesses, the IBEW Union local 46 and continue to reach out to the families of the youth involved in this incident. We have received a ton of phone calls, emails and posts on Facebook. Because of the volume of calls we’re unable to answer each of your inquiries/observations and will provide updates as we’re able to do so.
Thank you for the update. After reading the police report posted by Jonah Spangenthal-Lee on the mother’s original post, I believe there is more to the story. I support you guys and believe you are taking the appropriate measures.
i hope this blog hasn’t permanently damaged your company’s reputation, all based on an uncorroborated facebook story. great “citizen reporting” here :-/
The Yelp reviews were there before “this blog” re-posted the story. “This blog” specifically called out that creaming these guys on Yelp was inappropriate.
> “This blog” specifically called out that creaming these guys on Yelp was inappropriate.”
I didn’t mention the yelp reviews. Your bias was obvious with the headline “Trumpland Comes to Wallingford,” reprinting of the mother’s account, and lack of inclusion of the police report. If you published before the report was available, it still has yet to be updated.
This blog is enabling more defamation against the company, regardless if you think your last paragraph absolves you of it. This is the type of clickbait “fake news” everyone railed against for a couple weeks after the election. How quickly we forgot.

Great statement, best of luck resolving the issue.
I’m a little dismayed that you would throw your employees under the bus without waiting for proof of the accusation. You assumed him guilty before proven innocent. Do you not trust your own judgement to hire people of good character, obviously you made that initial assessment to hire him. Now you’re cowering from baseless claims? Gross.
Artisan’s Yelp page is already blowing up with one-star reviews, which is unfortunate, because I believe they should have been given the chance to respond
You know this all too well, Jordan. I seem to recall a certain Wallyhood reader that called all the sponsors of the site without hearing the whole story.
well Jordan is not editor any more. Though this is a similar situation.
Seattle PD has replied on reddit (emphasis mine):
During the police response Tuesday, officers spoke to multiple witnesses at the scene, but were unable to locate anyone who could corroborate an assault on the 15-year-old or the use of racial slurs during the incident.
Witnesses did state that the 15-year-old suspect had damaged a motorist’s mirror.
A group of juveniles, who reportedly with the 15-year-old at the time of the incident, left the scene without speaking to officers. The 15-year-old was arrested for property damage and released to his mother. **Police are familiar with the teen and have been in contact with his family to address several recent incidents, including a threats case on November 22nd, at a library in the Wallingford neighborhood.**
https://www.reddit.com/r/SeattleWA/comments/5fztjo/trumpland_comes_to_wallingford/daof8od/
There’s your story, there’s my story, and there’s the truth. And more of the truth is being revealed.
“A group of juveniles, who reportedly with the 15-year-old at the time of the incident, left the scene without speaking to officers.”
SPD lied. The boys did stay and give corroborating statements to a police officer. The mother of one of them just posted video. https://www.facebook.com/slimmgoody2011/videos/pcb.1387007454667353/1386988798002552/?type=3&theater
The other boys are not third party witnesses. Were all 7 of them in the mom’s video?
The police report does say that the remaining kids standing around were questioned (mentioned as “subjects” on 2nd page of the report).
SPD wasn’t lying. People are grasping at any & all straws in attempt to discredit the police.
SPD didn’t lie about those boys running, eh? I’ve got the receipts. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/35f35e6213d700c7f473ec3860da3ffd68c6905e4e6494dd311173dacb0d247a.jpg
If it turns out to be untrue are there going to be apologies from all the people who badgered this man and the company he works for? How will you compensate them for the abuse and monitory loss they suffered? Time and time again we see a narrative about a alleged racial incident being thrown out that turns out to be false. There are no consequences for those who lied, and for those who quickly spread the lies. And no apologies for those hurt by the lies. I am sorry that so many people suffer from white guilt and that so many blacks feel entitled to use past wrongs as an excuse to take their rage out on anyone who may or may not be guilt of racism. But the quickness and severity in which these people demand punishment over an incident where racism is claimed but the facts are unclear, is truly disturbing.
Yeah, these comments really refute that trumpland has come to wallingford.
What happened to “innocent until proven guilty”? The race card was played and this employees life is thrown into a tail spin? at this point there is no proof that this employee did anything racist, yet he has been branded and drug through the mud in an instant. These young men said he yelled racists slurs out his window, and that is hear say. What if what they are saying is a lie? This employees livelihood and reputation are aggressively under attack, taking what these young men said as absolute truth? That is unacceptable and incredibly careless and unloving. Could you imagine if someone wrongfully branded you a racist and tried to ruin your life based on hearsay? We need to stopping jumping to such crazy conclusions so quickly. Learn all the facts before you ruin someone’s life.
So am I to understand there wasn’t a single witness to offer evidence of this incident? No cell phone videos taken during the altercation? No videos from the service truck itself (everyone seems to have them to protect their businesses these days)? I hate that this is descending into all this arguing, but does anyone know if there is some sort of recorded proof that exists to straighten this out a bit?
A posting above gave this link to a video that shows the kids telling a Seattle policeman what happened. Reposting link here:

I am a person of color, and several years ago Artisan Electric installed solar panels on our house in Wallingford. I have only high praise and accolades for every Artisan employee who worked on the job, and for the quality of service provided. They are universally thoughtful, respectful, smart, and hard-working. Even our friends visiting from Georgia during the installation commented on how well-spoken and interesting the Artisan people were. As someone else has said in this thread, it would be a complete shame if this fine company were hurt by the hateful actions of one person before the company has even had a chance to remedy the situation.
I’m curious about how the conversation would go if the variables were changed. What if it was a male motorist of color yelling sexually offensive comments at group of white teenage girls, then escalated the situation by slapping one of this girls in the face upon approaching the man to confront him about his language? Would the hypothetical man of color be arrested? Would the young woman that inadvertently damaged property while defending herself been written a citation? Would some of you be accusing the hypothetical teens of playing the “gender card”?
I would want to hear the motorists side of the story, and wait to hear the facts of the situation before any judgement was made. It we be awful to label the motorist of color in this scenario without knowing all the info. If the stories differ, that means one party is lying. It could be the motorist or the teenage girls. But, if the teenage girls were the ones lying, I could see them devising a story where they claimed being treated inappropriately just because they were young girls, because it makes a believable story that takes the blame off them… in the scenario where the variables are changed. It’s a good perspective question though. It does matter if your thoughts change when the variables change.
Quite an interesting hatchet job. Here is what went wrong:
1. Framing an event around your political ideology to make a political statement
2. Implying all who may disagree w/ your ideology as racists, etc.
3. Copy/Pasting a one-sided account of events
4. Publishing prior to gathering evidence
Interesting discussion, and horrifying incident, if true, of course. But, that throwaway comment about unions kind of irked me. If you are a “D”, you might realize that the “R”s have taken strategic aim at unions to try to cripple them, knowing they are a key component of support for that party.
Personally, my union elects all its local and national leaders, we vote on our contracts. There is also recourse against unreasonable bosses, and the union recently blocked an attempt by the employer to impose a lower wage and benefit scale on all new-hires.
While unions aren’t perfect, being human of course, consider that they are the main counterbalance to corporate power, and the likes of Monsanto, Wells Fargo Goldman Sachs, etc., etc…
Sheila, couldn’t the man who yelled the racist remarks be charged with a hate crime? I’m not sure why the police did not cite him for something! That was a terrible thing to do to children!! Please apologize to your son and all of the other boys for us.
I’m not sure why this incident wasn’t checked out thoroughly prior to posting it. Apparently the police report tells a completely different account of the incident. It may be that a mother was not told a factual account of the incident. I’m sorry if I jumped to conclusions without knowing all of the facts.

Here’s the link to the video posted buried deep in the comments: https://www.facebook.com/slimmgoody2011/videos/pcb.1387007454667353/1386988798002552/?type=3&theater
2016-12-02 Statement by Artisan Electric Inc. Re: Seattle Police Case #2016-431330
Artisan Electric is releasing this statement about an interaction with one of our employees and a group of African-American teenagers in the Wallingford district of Seattle on November 29th, 2016. We are releasing this statement to continue addressing this incident with full transparency. We will be posting this statement on our Facebook page, Artisan Electric website blog and other outlets as deemed appropriate. Please keep an eye on the Artisan Electric Facebook page for the most recent updates.
We’ve been inundated with information regarding this incident over the past couple of days. We’ve read (and responded to) the Facebook posts by a mother of one of the children involved in the incident, but who is not the mother of the child who was arrested for property damage. After having a productive conversation with her on the morning of December 1st, there has been no response to all subsequent efforts to contact her. We would like to reach her and the parents of the other youth involved in this incident to better understand what happened and to give our community a chance to heal. Artisan has also obtained a copy of the Seattle Police Department incident report and we’ve spoken directly to the detective investigating this incident.
It is clear to Artisan Electric that there are very different perspectives as to what occurred on Wednesday. Conversations with witnesses and the detective, as well as the SPD report indicate that all witnesses on record could not substantiate the youth’s claim that our employee physically assaulted or called the youth a derogatory name. Our employee acknowledges confronting the youths about their harassment of another, evidently elderly male. However, he denies having physical interaction with or making any derogatory statements towards the youth. Artisan made the decision to suspend our employee during the investigation based on the allegations as well as concerns about possible vigilante responses from the community directed at our employee and/or company.
Because of the nature of the complaint, Artisan Electric wants to ensure the community that the type of allegations being made are being taken very seriously and we want to make an appropriate decision based off of objective information. Much of what we’re reading online on both “sides” is venomous and not constructive in moving forward toward a healthy resolution for our community. That is what Artisan Electric wants and will do everything in our power to make happen. We are using the values of participation, fairness, transparency and inclusion to reach that resolution.
Because of the overwhelming response from the community on Facebook, the Artisan Electric website and on the phone, Artisan Electric feels compelled to bring to light the following information:
The original story posted on Facebook that started the public outcry has been removed by the original poster. The information that was on the original post and taken at face value as “fact” was counter to all known official reports by members of the Wallingford community who witnessed the event, as well as the official SPD report. We urge you to read the report in detail. None of the members of the community witnessed our employee physically assault or call the youth the “n-word.” The police report was posted online and Artisan was able to obtain three pages of the report which has some information redacted. We are attaching a copy of the SPD report to this statement and a .pdf file can also be found here: seattle-police-department-incident-report. https://artisanelectricinc.com/2016-12-02-statement-artisan-electric-inc-re-seattle-police-case-2016-431330/
As we noted, we have suspended our employee while we gather more facts. This has been interpreted as an admission of guilt on social media. Though required for the duration of the investigation, the suspension in actuality shows that we are just as susceptible to the mob mentality of rushing to judgement to please the masses without having all the facts that caused this to spiral out of control in the first place.
We are still gathering the facts beyond the police report. We want all sides to the story. We want a meeting with the kids involved and their parents. Our hope is that we can work with the juvenile that was arrested and his family, the families of the other kids involved, our employee and the SPD to start a dialogue and take serious steps towards restorative justice. If we don’t do this, then this incident just reifies preconceived beliefs on both sides of the fence and race relations in our community will not have progressed.
The irony here is that as a solar contractor, Artisan Electric’s mission is to make the world a better place for our kids. Artisan’s owners and employees have made it their mission to stand up for racial, economic, and environmental injustice. Artisan employees have been and are currently very active in the environmental, social justice and Black Lives Matter movements. Being labeled a racist company is antithetical to everything we have worked towards as individuals and a company, and is deeply hurtful.
The reality is that we are only three weeks out from the Presidential election, and we need to acknowledge that we are living in a politically-charged world that demands we make every effort to train our employees on how to see their implicit racial bias and privilege so that they can be an advocate for equality without putting themselves in the crosshairs of the cultural war currently unfolding. It is clear that white privilege played a role in our employee’s choice to get involved in the situation, and it is very clear that this needs to be addressed by immediate implementation of diversity training into our company. We are currently in contact with Elmer Dixon from the Executive Diversity Services to set up this training for our employees.
Of great concern to our company is how an unsubstantiated claim on a Facebook post could lead a online community to be “judge, jury and executioner” to Artisan Electric without knowing the whole story. Being on the other side of this has opened up our eyes to how vulnerable all people are to the power and threat of social media. People didn’t wait to get more information, acted hastily and have targeted our company’s online reputation on Yelp, Google+ and Facebook. As a small company, this could cripple our business without merit. Again, the stories told by uninvested third-parties in the Wallingford neighborhood who witnessed the event align with what our employee has reported to us and contradicts the allegations against Artisan Electric’s employee by the Facebook poster.
Artisan Electric will continue to provide updates on Facebook our website as information becomes available.
https://artisanelectricinc.com/2016-12-02-statement-artisan-electric-inc-re-seattle-police-case-2016-431330/
” It is clear that white privilege played a role in our employee’s choice to get involved in the situation, and it is very clear that this needs to be addressed by immediate implementation of diversity training into our company. We are currently in contact with Elmer Dixon from the Executive Diversity Services to set up this training for our employees.” These two sentences are exactly what got Trump elected. You may want to examine the role of black privilege in their entitlement to harass elderly white people. This isn’t the first incident.
Hi. I am concerned that this article may have been done before all of the facts have been determined. When I saw the article I was enraged and immediately put in on my fb. Now I am looking at the companies fb page at it appears that we may not have the correct facts. If you haven’t taken a look at the companies responses to the incident, you might want to.
I have removed but summarized the original post.
Are you going to reach out to the employee for publishing his photo? Are you going to apologize to the business for naming them? You could have reported the story without doing either. Where is your accountability in this?
I don’t know who the employee is (and never reported who he was). If you read my original post, I explicitly said that I thought holding Artisan responsible before they had a chance to respond was wrong. Did you read that?
All in all you did a terrible job and propagated some of this ire that effected not only the employee but the company. Seeing this it makes me think Trump’s desire to strengthen libel laws would prevent this kind of tripe from damaging a person’s livelihood. But you’re not ashamed, you’re not even sorry. Makes you pretty deplorable.
You didn’t retract due to not having all the facts, just summerized. And no apology to the man falsely accused. No third party corroborating evidence but that’s irrelevant, right? Kid said he didn’t do anything to the cop and had blood on his hand, but others saw him break the van mirror so no reason to doubt him… Right… You are an ace journalist aren’t you???
wow! I noticed this morning that the mother took down her FB video which didnt really tell much. I am glad Artisan held restraint. A group of 5-7 young teen agers does nto always act appropriately. My deep sorrows to Artisan, the mother who may have been given a trumped up story and the boys whose judgment may not have been ideal. Artisan has responded with a deeply thoughful message.
Everyone but the male who was falsely accused, suspended without pay, and portrayed as a racist by this article, the Internet, and his accusers? Y no deep sorrows there bruh?
Why are you continually and repeatedly all capping thug?
because he/she is too ashamed to say the n word. as he/she should be. so thug represents the n word and has for a long time.
The irony is that “Trumpland” didn’t come to Wallingford. But continue to lambast people obsessively for perceived transgressions and attempt to destroy businesses and individuals due to unsubstantiated allegations and chances are that Trumpland will come to Wallingford and the rest of Seattle in due time. It is exactly this crap which helped Trump become President. I didn’t vote for him but I understand damn well how the resentment over this leftist witchhunt could make people turn to the right.
Please report a follow up on what really happened. There are reports the boys were harassing an elderly man. It is really shady to make a big deal of this when it looked like a white on black incident then to quickly dismiss it if it turns out to be visa versa. I expect your paper to have integrity and report what actually occurred regardless of who it makes look back. Unfortunately, I doubt you will.
Tara, can you provide a citation for those reports? First I’ve heard of it.
I think part of the problem here is that nobody, except the people that were there, really knows what happened, and they are providing contradictory information. This “harassing the “elderly” is totally out of left field, best I can tell, though. Just as you expect me to report accurately, I expect you to comment accurately. If you have a legitimate citation, of course I’ll report it.
Ha! Now he’s wants legitimate citations. This fuggin guy
Looks like Clintonland has come to Wallingford. Most whites in Seattle are Democrats. And Clinton did call young blacks super-predators. So I wouldn’t be surprised if one of her supporters got racial.
She didn’t actually call ” young blacks super-predators”, but if you only get your news from Fox and Breitbart, I don’t blame you for making that mistake. Go look up the full quote in context, see if it changes your mind.
Why is this post leaving out what might have caused the argument between the man and the teenager? Wasn’t an elderly man allegedly being harassed by the teenager and his friends, and the man intervened to stop it?
first, the employee is at fault for engaging these kids while he was on the job. first fuck up. second, all you racist apologists need to stfu. lets not forget that many working class white males voted for trump and there are no filters anymore. before you start with the same tired old diatribe that whiteys use to discredit and marginalize non whites keep in mind that calling these kids the n word is well within the realm of possibility. why the hell would anyone make up shit like that? and to you yuppies with ur heads in the sand, white supremacy can permeate your little organic, free range, sustainable, small businesses too. wake the fuck up and stop making excuses for racism.
Bash, your hate and intolerance is not welcome here.
you are a right wing troll. fuck off
Welcome to Wallyhood- thanks for signing up for your new account today just to comment on this story.
“why the hell would anyone make up shit like that?” Perhaps you’re unaware of those who’ve recanted accounts of racism perpetrated against them recently?
What’s wrong with examining all sides of these events to determine what’s really occurred? Do you condone accusing someone without tangible proof?
If things flesh-out the way they’re set up by this BLOG entry, then those accused should be prosecuted. Otherwise, stick to rational laws.
i doubt we will ever find out what really happened. what is troublesome to me is that from what i have seen there has been a lot of jumping on the bandwagon of “well are we sure they they were called the n word?” typical apologist behavior. you think the perpetrator would ever admit to such a disgusting act? his job is on the line! meanwhile all you people who want to want to just “wait and see” will continue to question the validity of the victims claims because they are black. textbook victim blaming.
It’s unfortunate that the quality of journalism has stooped to the level of inciting/ encouraging mob mentality without facts… and not enough decency to actually apologize publicly to the person who was vilified without any third party corroborating evidence. What can we expect though, right??? Guilty until proven innocent because facts are irrelevant these days.
So Jordan, how in the F$@K does Trumps name appear in this article??????????? Are you a Seattle Times reporter?????
“Wallyhood is dedicated to fostering community and communication in the Wallingford neighborhood”
Were is it stated you can attack one group of people but not others!! Please contact me so I can talk to you eye to eye and tell me this guy is a trump supporter!
I think Jordan missed the excitement of the game and came back to show us who’s boss!
Trumpland didn’t come to Wallingford, White Liberalism/Progressivism did. That ideology states that any accusation of racism, especially if it’s towards blacks is a state of emergency in which the city must come to a standstill and heads must roll within hours of any accusation no matter how unsubstantiated. Then when it is discovered to be a hoax it must be quickly forgiven and forgotten about. OTOH, provable incidents of black racist mob abuse and violence towards non-blacks must be quickly shoved under the rug but will result in more tax payer funded services to the community the offender(s) come from.
Jordan, just what does this have to do with Trump? You cast lying aspersions on Trump supporters by that kind of name calling, perhaps making them feel unwelcome and not included in this inclusive community. Did the moron mention Trump? No, but you decided to bring it up. Thanks for the exclusion.
I don’t want you here either, frankly.
Ah, the hypocrisy of the leftist. Thanks, Maria. Maybe you could wear a “Hate trumps all that stuff we leftists say.” button? Let your true nature shine through.
I’m not a hypocrite at all. I despise everything that Trump stands for in general, and have no time for his supporters. If you want to come to the table with a message of equality and kindness, great. But then you likely would not have voted for him.
Reading through the comments, Trumpland is alive and well in Wallyhood. Which just shows our diversity. He’s gonna be our next President. So yeah, we will all live in TRUMPLAND. We are going to get it with 4AM tweet, through Gab, and Putin hackers.
Trump might get the Chinese so mad at us and corporate America after our last penny, we’ll all be deplorables till the next election. Hopefully, we’ll be able to vote and I won’t be stuck in some reeducation Camp. Y’all send care package, yes?
All disagreement will be labeled HATE! Dissent is EVIL! All those who don’t hate on Trump and his eeevviiilll minions must be reviled. ‘Cause Love Trumps Hate! Right? Rioting, burning, violence, property destruction are justified, right? Get over it. None of that crap is going to happen. Why? Because Trump voters, even we reluctant ones, will uphold and defend the Constitution and be the first to object to violations. Away with speech codes, 1st amendment zones, political correctness – fascism disguised as politeness. Y’all just keep warm with your hate.
Jordan: What is up with the National Enquirer-worthy title? It is incendiary and incredibly misleading.
No it’s the future. After 1/20, Inauguration Day.
The paranoia and looney tunes are getting deep. Yeah, right, re-education camps. Who has those? Let’s see. Vietnam. Venezuela. North Korea. Soviet Union. China. Cuba. I could go on, but the blinkered refuse to see.
You should link your recanting story/apology at the end of this article. So future readers of this particular post would know this story had been proven to be false.
