WHEN: Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 10 am until 12 pm.
WHERE: Waterway 15 (next to Ivar’s, west side, at NE Northlake Way and 4th Ave NE). We will then work our way toward Gasworks Park, and on to Waterway 22.
Please join us for a walk along Lake Union to learn about the public access points to Lake Union and share your ideas about restoring and using Wallingford’s waterways.
Perhaps you’re like me and didn’t know what a waterway was, where they are located, or what they have to offer the public. If so, now is your chance to learn all about Wallingford’s various waterways, where they are, and how to access then. We will visit each waterway site in Wallingford and generate ideas and make plans for improvement as we stroll around Lake Union. Please join us and add your thoughts and insights into the mix.
This year’s walk is co-sponsored by the Wallingford Community Council (WCC) and the Friends of North Lake Union (FONLU). The WCC has made access to the public waterways a key action item while FONLU strives to improve shoreline habitats of Lake Union, while engendering social benefits to its current citizens.

I would like to acknowledge and thank James Thompson for his excellent work on developing the waterways map.
For those of you who review places using your phone – I encourage you to write reviews of the different waterways as you visit them, and if you are really savvy, to post pictures. Thanks!
