Wallyhood will be much better if we can limit Move Seattle Levy coverage to one day per week, so please let us know if you’d like to help us with our issues. I mean Wallingford’s issues. The best articles often come from neighbors with fresh perspectives, so our favorite articles are the ones you write for us (thanks again Jeff!)
Alternately, help us figure out what to write about next by completing this poll or suggesting a headline in the comments. Thanks!

How about an investigation on what happened to all the community trash cans on 45th? So many of them have been removed recently and the result is that the remaining cans are over filled and the streets and sidewalks are just littered and filthy. And it spills over into our residential streets.
It’s so bad between Bartells and QFC I won’t even walk on that stretch of sidewalk.
With the number of food establishments and other consumable businesses, there’s got to be more availability of trash cans.
I imagine the rat, crow and pigeon population will be going up.
I don’t want pictures of bitten kids, but would like an article about how to ever get anyone to respond to complaints about off-leash dogs (in parks or elsewhere).
Or, in a different vein, how ’bout sponsoring: “political correctness vs snark–a literal cage match in mud”
Trash cans: That would be a good thing for me to ask the chamber about. They are getting a new president, I should probably do an interview with them, that would be a good question. Thanks!
Regarding off leash dogs, I’ll tell you what parks told me: If you see somebody with an off leash dog, warn them that you saw someone handing out tickets for the offense. Provided you’re cool with lying, it’s effective and you can avoid coming off as a scold.
I’m not sure how to stage a literal muddy cage match between snark and political correctness. I have thought about something like “Hapless Liberals vs Conservatives in Denial: Vote!”
I want an investigation into those “Why does my cat smell like curry” signs that are appearing around Wallingford. (Especially around the area near Dick’s.)
I keep meaning to call the “Lost Dog” sign phone number. Too many of them (100’s), too far apart in the city (SeaTac?), and too specific about ‘don’t chase’ to make me think it’s about a dog.
