The Wallingford Farmers Market is winding up for the year: we have only three market days left: it runs 3:30 – 7:00 PM Wednesdays through September 24th in Meridian Park. This week’s cooking demonstration (4 – 5 pm) will be from Chef Brian Gojdics of Tutta Bella.
Get your veggies while you can. And if you have kids, it’s a great day to bring them to the park, as the playground is always brimming that day.
If the market isn’t to your taste, but getting out amongst your Wallingford neighbors is, then perhaps you’ll stop by the plaza outside Wallingford Center from 6 – 7 pm, and listen to the Easy Street Band, a nine-piece jazz swing band. Colleen Kurke had originally hoped to have them perform at the Farmers Market, but complaints from merchants and neighbors after July’s music put the kibosh on that. Wallingford Center graciously agreed to host, instead.
Food and music, feed your body and soul.

We live across the street from the market and were never bothered by the music. In fact, we miss the music at the market. Hope to see it back next year.
