Hey, I know today’s Independence Day, and so you’re probably kind of focused on that, but don’t forget that tomorrow is the Wallingford Family Parade and Festival. Parade begins at 11 AM, Festival runs 12 – 5 PM:
For 65 years Wallingford has played host to the longest running Seafair Parade, previously known as the Kiddie Parade, now called the ‘Wallingford Family’ Parade. Families come from far and near to watch, participate in and enjoy this traditional event. The Wallingford Family Parade starts at 11:00 a.m. at the corner of Interlake & N 45th and runs East along N 45th Street to Bagley Ave. N. Thousands of people from all over Seattle will line 45th Street to watch local businesses, drill teams, marching bands and family oriented organizations celebrate and compete for awards.
The Festival at Meridian Playground Park (on the corner of 50th & Meridian) features a market place with local offerings of food, arts & crafts, demonstrations and a Bites, Beer & Wine Tasting Garden – New This Year! Expect bouncy houses and games for the kids as well as local musical entertainment.
