The Wallingford Community Council will meet on Wednesday, July 2nd, 7:15 PM at the Good Shepherd Center. Among the items on the agenda will be updates on current neighborhood issues, including WCC’s appeal of the project on the former AvTech property, updated CVS plans for the old Tully’s site, and a request for a zoning exception to allow an office building on the site of the Northlake Ave. boat storage facility.
Everyone is Welcome to attend and voice their opinions.
How about the burned down Thai restaurant.. Kikaro’s? What is going to happen? They asked for a little time last November.
How about the 3 majot building prohjects- 2 on Stone Way and 1 a block over?
how about the giant demolition block on Interlake and 45th?
I don’t know about the ex-Japanese restaurant Kitaro, but WCC has indeed put some effort into these projects. There’s a limit to what they can do, but for example I think for the last one you mention, they helped with an appeal that went to a hearing examiner. If you go to the meetings, you tend find out about these matters a lot earlier. By the time you notice the bulldozers, it’s too late to do anything but watch it go up.
