Kiymbah Tytania and Eric Wilson are opening a new dance / fitness space, CompFIT, at 4501 Interlake (on the block with Olympia Pizza, Spin’s Barber Shop, The Drum Exchange and John’s Music).
I’ve known Eric for years, and I’ve seen him dance, drum, march in the Solstice Parade and generally drink deep from life’s gourd, and there are few people with a more positive, exuberant and cheerful attitude towards movement, fitness and dance. Also, he’s ripped.
In his words:
I’ve been teaching fitness for the past 30 years, and recently bought a dance studio in Fremont. For the past two years I assisted in opening the Fremont Health Club as the Fitness Director/Manager and started Compfit Personal Training here in Seattle in 1998. I teach a personal training certification course (WITS) at the local community colleges, which provides a streamline of qualified trainers in the Seattle personal training industry.
Currently I’m looking to create a comprehensive movement space in Wallingford designed to address the 5 components of fitness. The diverse offering of classes speaks to our goal to work all the systems of the body (cardiovascular/musculoskeletal) as well as maintain range of motion and balance as you age. We will soon be offering kids movement classes, and silver sneaker classes to address the wide range and needs of our community.
They’ll be holding an open house this Saturday, May 17th noon – 6 pm, all are welcome.
