Brady Walkinshaw, the newly-appointed state representative for the 43rd Legislative District (that’s us, Wallingford), will host open office hours at the Wallingford Fuel Coffee (1705 N 45th St) on Saturday from 1 – 3 pm. Brady encourages constituents to stop by and discuss the issues most important to them.
You may remember that with when our state senator, Ed Murray, became Seattle’s mayor, our representative, Jamie Pedersen took over Murray’s senate seat, leaving the house seat vacant. Walkinshaw was appointed to fill that seat.
Take a looksy at the video below for a bit of background on Walkinshaw in his own words. Then pop in and say hi on tomorrow.
“State congressman?” Was that a joke?
No, wrong word
What time will he be there?
Oops. 1 – 3 pm. Updated article
Stopped by and Brady was surrounded by excited constituents. Hopefully this becomes a regular occurrence!
