The Wallingford Community Council will meet Wednesday, November 6, 2013, 7:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Center. A number of items will be considered including finding a location in Wallingford for a sustainable energy demonstration project (pterofin.com); pending City legislation regarding Micro Housing expansion; Stone Way pedestrian safety for students; updates on the CVS project, and other neighborhood issues.
Everyone is welcome.
Spoilers: Design board rejects CVS’ latest proposal. They presented 3 designs, all of which preserved the existing building, but used only 1/2 of the lot, against the board’s directive, last time, to come with a higher density option.
The developer explained that this is due to the land-owner’s condition (CVS didn’t buy it, it’s a 25 year lease). However, it that didn’t matter.
So, CVS is now left with attempting to bypass the committee (probably by declaring the project some sort of renovation), or taking it to court.
