If you were wondering what all the helicopters were about Tuesday night, here’s your answer:
Round about 7:30 pm, a man walked into the functional glass (aka bong) shop Puffin Glass with a gun and stuck up the place. The robber sounded somewhat apologetic about his deed (“I’m sorry I have to do this”), leaving the employee on the wrong end of the gun stunned to disbelief.
“It was surreal,” said the employee on duty last night. “The guy working here just asked that the guy please point the gun away from him, so nothing accidental happened and gave him what he wanted. He was actually calling the police as he was walking him to the door.”
The police responded quickly and in force: helicopters and K-9 units scoured the neighborhood, and the police response was generally described as friendly: “they seemed happy to finally be able to work with us on something,” explained the Puffin Glass employee. “You know, like what you’re doing isn’t the problem, what the guy with the gun is doing, that’s illegal!”
The suspect made off with some cash from the drawer and what the Puffin Glass employee described as “a really lame vaporizer, definitely not the best one we had.”

Wow. Did the police ever find a suspect in this crime?
