While at Gasworks Park, I recently watched in amazement as an average-looking guy inverted himself and proceeded to do handstand push-ups. Several of them. Which I can tell you is 100% more than I could do without ending up in a neck brace.
I suspect I might not be the only person in Wallingford whose muscles could use some beefing up. Which might be why theLAB Strength and Conditioning recently opened a new fitness studio at 36th and Interlake. TheLab owner Lindsey wrote:
TheLAB Strength & Conditioning – Eastlake CrossFit is a 7,000 sq/ft. fitness coaching facility, equipped with men’s and women’s locker rooms, located in the Wallingford neighborhood. We recently moved into our bigger, and more outfitted home after a 3.5 year stint in the Eastlake area. We offer sport specific, group, and individual coaching, utilizing CrossFit methodology. CrossFit workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements (pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, and running) executed at high intensity.
We are opening up our facility to beginner’s for a 3 class movement assessment and workout series. The series will start on Saturday, June 29that 12:00 pm. The series will continue the following week on Monday, July 1st at 7:30 pm & Wednesday, July 3rd at 7:30 pm. Classes will be 90 minutes in length, from warm up to cool down. More details can be found on our website.
We will be offering a beginner’s series twice per month starting in July. Please check our website regularly for the most updated series dates or email Lindsey, Founder/Owner of theLAB for more information: [email protected]
