Last month, we posted about Übrlocal, which launched in April with the goal of connecting YOU with as much locally produced food as possible.
Liz Smith, one of Übrlocal’s founders, wrote to tell us about a couple of new developments.
1) In partnership with Seattle Tilth we are offering shares of their 17 week CSA for pickup at the Wallingford Farmers’ Market or home delivery for $3.99/wk anywhere in Seattle. More information about the CSA and the Seattle Tilth Farm Works program can be found here.
2) We have partnered with A Muddy Cup to offer a new pick-up-point for goods purchased on ubrlocal.com. We deliver your order to Muddy Cup on Wednesdays and Fridays. You will get a confirmation email letting you know when your order is ready for pickup! We will be adding more pick-up-points throughout Wallingford as we expand.
We believe that Wallingford is a great neighborhood to build this new food economy and are looking forward to collaborating with the residents of Wallingford on how to build it together, and help influence other neighborhoods and cities.
Additionally, if you grow local food, bake local goods or have other Wallingford-grown or produced delectables to offer, Übrlocal would also love to hear from you. With the noble goal of sourcing as much food as they can from within 10 miles of Wallingford, Übrlocal could help you fledge your cottage industry while satisfying the local foods ethics of your neighbors!
We appreciate the great article! The Seattle Tilth CSA is all sold out for the season. Stay tuned on our site or the Seattle Tilth website for next year’s CSA. Thanks!
