Back in January, we told you about a free workshop offered by Solarize Northwest. Well, somehow it snuck up on us, but that workshop is TODAY at Solid Ground (1501 N. 45th St.) from 10-11:30.
If you can’t make it, there’s one last workshop coming up April 24th at the Ballard Library.
Why should you consider solar? I’ve waxed poetic about my family’s solar panels in previous posts, with my favorite part being that even though Seattle’s not known for it’s sunny weather, I haven’t paid an electric bill in almost 2 years. Solar works here, and when you are getting your energy from the sun, you can smugly sit back and let other people worry about how much electricity Seattle City Light sources from coal and nuclear. (Kidding. I still worry about that).
Additionally, if you have ever had even a fleeting thought about solar panels, now is the time to do it! The federal tax credit on solar panels expires in June, and the waived WA state sales tax expires in December. So make a move neighbors! Get yourselves to that workshop!
