Hey folks, do you ever find yourself waiting for neighbors to walk by your house so you could shout something at them like “hey, do you know anyone that’s renting a house out?” or “Wanna buy my table?”
This is just your friendly reminder that in addition to this article-a-day blog, Wallyhood has Forums, where you can chat about whatever you like. Here’s a sampling of some recent conversations and posts:
- ahornerdevine is returning from a year abroad and is looking for a house for his family to rent in Wallingford.
- phil2bin noticed that Mona’s is closed and wants to know what the story is.
- I am selling my large, wooden dining room table
- sara found a Siamese cat with a broken tail
If you read Wallyhood as a “email newsletter”, you won’t get notifications when there are new posts there, so go ahead and bookmark it (or “favorite” it, for you IE users).

I’d just like to say that I appreciate this very informative blog and its contributors.
I have very recently been involved in a dog abuse situation on Burke Ave. N. and found the neighbors to be helpful and concerned. I live in Wallingford and I’m also a volunteer at the Seattle Animal Shelter. Fortunately, with the help of neighbors and SAS, the poor dog was rescued today, taken to a vet, and will be up for adoption to a deserving family soon.
