Seattle Police are searching for a female suspect after a shooting incident at a Seattle Parks and Recreation Department facility in north Green Lake. KIRO News has identified the suspect as “Carolyn ‘Zoom’ Piksa and she is an Assistant Coordinator with the Seattle Parks and Recreation.”
The shooting occurred at approximately 1:57 pm, according to the SPD Blotter:
At approximately 1:57 p.m. officers responded to a Seattle Parks and Recreation Department office in the 8000 block of Densmore Avenue North for a 911 report of a man needing medical assistance. Updated 911 calls reported that a man had been shot. Fire department medics responded to the scene and transported the 70-year-old male victim to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of a life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest.
After shooting the victim and prior to officers’ arrival on scene the suspect left the Seattle Parks and Recreation office and went to another city facility located at North 130th Street and Linden Avenue North. Once there the suspect brandished a handgun at an adult female and then left without further incident.
The suspect is a known white female (pictured above), 47-years-old, thin build, 5’7″, 140 pounds, who was last seen wearing a tan corduroy jacket and jeans.
Officers continue to actively search for the suspect, who remains at large.
Anyone with information about this suspect or who may know her whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
Seattle Parks and Rec has also closed all community centers citywide and any Seattle Public School students who had afternoon programs at various parks, and who were in transit at the time of the closures, were returned to school for pick up. Wallingford Boys and Girls Club is on lockdown until further notice.

even if you shoot someone, women just have to cry a little and everyone takes it easy on you….
per this article, police have identified the suspect.. CXXX and she is an assistant coordinator for Seattle Parks and Rec. So is the article inaccurate?
Yes, a long time parks and rec employee… I met her last year at Montlake Community Center. Quiet and not very friendly, but by no means crazy looking or intimidating…
