Northwest Sustainable Energy for Economic Development (Northwest SEED) and Seattle City Light have announced their 2013 campaign, “Solarize Seattle: Northwest”, enabling homeowners in Wallingford, Ballard, Phinney Ridge, and Green Lake to take advantage of group discounts and pricing toward solarizing their homes. The program is open for registration now through April 22 (Earth Day). You can register by clicking here.
Free workshops are also available to those interested in the program, with the first workshop coming up this Saturday, January 26 at the Phinney Neighborhood Center (6532 Phinney Avenue N.), from 10:00-11:30am. There will also be a workshop here in Wallingford, at Solid Ground (1501 N. 45th St.), on April 6, from 10:00 – 11:30am. Click here for more dates and locations of the free workshops.
According to Northwest SEED:
Solarize Seattle: Northwest will be the sixth campaign of Northwest SEED’s Solarize Washington program (www.solarizewa.org). The campaign features a group-buy program that provides a streamlined process for residents and small businesses to purchase solar systems for a discounted price. Participants learn how solar works in Seattle, how it is installed, what tax and production incentives are available to bring the price down, and how low-interest financing can spread out the cost.
