Save the date, folks: The Wallingford Community Senior Center (WCSC) invites you to “Celebrate One Wallingford” on Thursday, December 13, from 5:30-8:00pm.
Last year’s celebration was a fun-filled evening with carolers, cookies, and holiday entertainment brought to you by neighbors young and old.
Here’s what the folks at the WCSC have to say about this year’s event:
It’s that time of year again for festive gatherings with family, friends and neighbors! The Wallingford Community Senior Center (WCSC) is hosting its second seasonal open house on Thursday, Dec. 13th and everyone from the neighborhood is invited to this family-friendly, all-ages event.
Like last year, “Celebrate One Wallingford” will feature music performed by your neighbors, activities for kids of every age, the return of cookie-decorating – and of course, sweet & savory fare to taste and beverages for adults & kids to sip! We want this to be easy and low-stress – so come by for a little bit or a while to enjoy and get a shot of positive holiday energy.
While this is a party and time to relax – a giving tree will invite donations to support WCSC’s programs and neighbors among us who are less fortunate at this time of year.
This purpose is all about Building Community Across Generations– which is front and center in WCSC’s mission. It is about celebrating the idea of “One Wallingford” – all of us coming together to mingle, meet someone new, visit and catch up.
· When: Thursday December 13th – 5:30 to 8 pm
· Where: Wallingford Community Senior Center – Lower Level of Good Shepherd Center (4649 Sunnyside Avenue N.)
Put it on your calendar………See you there!
p.s. Call for musicians – kids welcome! Looking for music-makers who want to “chime in” and perform acoustic or vocal music to add to the ambiance, please contact Kathleen Cromp at [email protected] or 206-461-7825. Due to space and other constraints, minimal set up is best. No amplified music.
