As we reported back in August, Dr. Springer and the staff at Wallingford Pediatrics said good-bye to Wallingford at the end of September. Wallingford Pediatrics had served the community since 1981, helping generations of Wallingford kids grow up healthy and answering bazillions of new-parent questions for new Wallingford parents.
Luckily, there wasn’t a pediatric void in Wallingford for long! Evergreen Pediatrics of Kirkland bought the practice, and pediatrician Dr. Basma Raees began seeing clients on October 1.
Dr. Springer wrote of his successor:
Dr. Raees completed her residency in pediatrics and adolescent medicine at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She has done post-graduate training in neonatology and done research in asthma and allergy. She has been involved in voluntary disaster relief work. I believe she will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to our community.
According to her profile, Dr. Raess:
Enjoys treating a variety of patients such as newborns and breastfeeding, asthma patients, behavioral issues, ADD and regular well-baby, well-child exams.
Dr. Raees practices conservative and preventative methods with medications, and believes in treating her patients as a whole rather than dealing with single issues at a time.
Welcome to the neighborhood, Dr. Raees and Wallingford Evergreen Pediatrics!
