The North Precinct of the Seattle Police Department is holding a Safe Communities meeting next Wednesday, October 10, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the North Seattle Community College cafeteria. The Safe Communities initiative is part of the Seattle Police Department (SPD) 20/20 Plan, designed to bring 20 reforms to the SPD over the next 20 months. One of these reforms includes reducing crime and creating safer neighborhoods.
The meeting is a chance for the public to hold a discussion with with police officers and City departments about chronic neighborhood issues and concerns and how to improve safety.
If you can’t make it to the meeting on October 10, there will be additional smaller meetings beginning in 2013. You can sign up for any of the meetings by clicking here.
